welcome to my blog! For those of you just visiting for the first time, welcome!   My name is julie weaver and I am a Southern California based photographer. I have been a professional photographer for the past 10 years and have specialized in weddings and portraits.

Having a family of my own, I understand the importance of capturing those little moments that seem to flash before our eyes....the quirky smiles, the scrunchy noses, the temper tantrums, the interaction that takes place between you and your child....and even those wonderful teenage years...it's priceless and gone before you know it!  I am THAT person who gets to capture those silly and precious moments that you love so much. That's why I absolutely LOVE my job!

Thanks for stopping by!

who knew that 3 years after I did their wedding that I would get a call from julie and brian asking me to do some pregnancy pictures!!!! I LOVE when this happens...it makes me so happy to see my clients in that next chapter of their lives, and to witness the anticipation of a new little baby. Julie and Brian are choosing not to find out the sex of the baby, so I cannot wait to hear what they have! Last November (RIGHT before they found out they were expecting) they purchased this beautiful property in Glendora....definitely a huge fixer upper, but an amazing house nonetheless!  It was built in the 1800's. They wanted to have their pictures done here to document this stage of their project...i fell in love with this house, and I know that they are going to do great things with it! Julie is due Sept. 9th

It was so much fun shooting Jimmy and Kim's wedding at Pala Mesa Country Club in Fallbrook.  It is such a beautiful venue and the weather was perfect.  This day couldn't have been more perfect for the two of them...everything was absolutely beautiful, including the two of them! Here are some of my favorites:

So often I am asked to bring my camera along to outings or events with friends to capture the moments of fun, and i am always happy to. I think it is when I unexpectantly bring it along when I feel that creative freedom to do what I want... Yesterday my family and our good friends, The Duque's, headed to our annual beach day to San Clemente to just relax and enjoy the day. Although I worked 14 hours the day before (and was EXHAUSTED), I grabbed my camera at the last minute as I was running out the door. I didn't shoot much, but when I did, it was so much fun! It happened to be San Clemente's Annual Ocean Festival, so we had a blast watching all of the sand creations being built, surf competitions, and walking around. The pier had a Vintage Woody Car show on it and a really nice man offered his car for me to shoot a few frames of Tristan: Katie: 11 going on 20.... RJ, Cole, & Katie...fishing on the pier: I have been so bummed that we are not going on our family vacation this year, so it was really nice to be able to take this time to enjoy the day with my family. It is times like these that I am humbly reminded of how precious these moments are and how lucky we are to have the family and friends that we have!

Should I or shouldn't I take the camera? I ask myself the same question running out the door. Fun post.

Things really DO happen for a reason, and I believe there is a master plan in place for us all.... I was reminded of this when Ryan and Shamai told me about their destiny and undeniable love that they found within each other. Ryan was heading back to the Army and while he was in line at the airport, he noticed a beautiful blonde in front of him, and knew at that moment that he had to meet her...except he couldn't even open his mouth to talk to her because he was too nervous!....what he didn't know at the time is that this beautiful blonde would become his wife 6 months later. He also didn't know that she was boarding the same plane and was heading to the same exact location he was heading to: back to their Army base in Tennessee. There is no longer a need for words. The images speak so loudly yet in such a calming and safe way... Ryan's first look at Shamai as she was walking down the aisle
