welcome to my blog! For those of you just visiting for the first time, welcome!   My name is julie weaver and I am a Southern California based photographer. I have been a professional photographer for the past 10 years and have specialized in weddings and portraits.

Having a family of my own, I understand the importance of capturing those little moments that seem to flash before our eyes....the quirky smiles, the scrunchy noses, the temper tantrums, the interaction that takes place between you and your child....and even those wonderful teenage years...it's priceless and gone before you know it!  I am THAT person who gets to capture those silly and precious moments that you love so much. That's why I absolutely LOVE my job!

Thanks for stopping by!

Her favorite movie is The Little Mermaid...favorite color is pink....she loves to play dress up, and this little girl loves splashing in the water and throwing rocks! She even casted a spell on me with her magic star wand....I hope it was a nice spell! We had such a great time together! Here are my favorite, but it really was hard to choose! Stay tuned for her sister, Isabelle's debut! olivia_15.jpg olivia_3.jpg olivia_2.jpg olivia_4.jpg olivia_5.jpg olivia_9.jpg olivia_7.jpg olivia_6.jpg olivia_12.jpg olivia_13.jpg olivia_14.jpg olivia_11.jpg olivia_10.jpg olivia_17.jpg olivia_16.jpg olivia_1.jpg

Mark:

Julie, you ROCK! As their father, there is a certain “Spirit” in my girls that defines precisely who they are in my eyes. Other photographers have tried and heaven knows that I have countless photos myself without what I would refer to as success in capturing that specific quintessential look. You have done just that, not only in one or two shots, but frame after frame with both Olivia and Isabelle. Thank you so much, not only do you have a great eye and understanding of the art, you have a wonderful, warm way about you that the kids love and trust.

Jennifer Disney:

Oh my gosh! What a cutie! Those clothes! Her hair! There's something about that green jacket too. You really did capture her spirit.

Patrice:

Where so I begin, like Jen says - everything from the hair to the cloths not to mention this cute little girl was perfect. Where are you finding such cute kids? How did you find this location too? Good job - I just love it all!

Robin:

I luvvv these photos! Those that are close to me know I am very paticular, especially when it comes to my children, and these are such fun, darling pictures of my little Olivia. Those looking-at-the-camera close-ups are truly lovely and have been so hard to get in the past. These really touch my heart. Thank you so much

I am excited to announce a project that I will be embarking on with a children's boutique called baby ME. Baby ME is located in the city of Glendora and offers the hippest trends in infant and children's clothes. Each month, the owner will choose their "customer of the month" to have a complimentary photo shoot with me to highlight the store's fabulous outfits. I will then choose a portrait to be displayed in the store to honor the customer of the month! This month, baby ME chose Irma Blanco! Some of you may know her from the Valentine morning show on 104.3 my fm. Check out her blog here. She is so much fun to work with, and her daughter was amazingly cooperative and easy-going! We had a lot of fun until it started sprinkling! Irma, thanks so much for coming out and allowing me to photograph your daughter for baby ME!!! She was an absolute super-star!!! sophia_1.jpg sophia_blog4.jpg sophi_blog4.jpg Look at these BEAUTIFUL eyes!!! sophia_blog2.jpg

O.K photographers....so if you haven't checked out becker's [b] school blog, check it out! He has really been so helpful with his video clips filled with suggestions on everything from shooting... to taxes... to attitude...everything! It was fun to reminisce when I watched his slideshow from his [b] party from last year in Vegas. Every year at WPPI since I can remember he hosts a private party that blows the doors off any party i've been to there! Check out the slideshow! You rock, becker!!! See you in Vegas!!! vegas1.jpg

This post is specifically geared to all photographers new and "seasoned" in this industry.....go check out Robert Evan's new website for photographers.  He deigned this to share his knowledge with us in quite a unique way...he shows video tutorials of real shoots, has guest photographers share their tricks of the trade, you get full access to member forums and student galleries, and MUCH more! Robert is a great photographer and equally as nice.  He worked so hard on this project, and it is so much fun to finally see it debut! So go show him the love and sign up here!!!  You will not be disappointed!!! Have a great weekend!
