welcome to my blog! For those of you just visiting for the first time, welcome!   My name is julie weaver and I am a Southern California based photographer. I have been a professional photographer for the past 10 years and have specialized in weddings and portraits.

Having a family of my own, I understand the importance of capturing those little moments that seem to flash before our eyes....the quirky smiles, the scrunchy noses, the temper tantrums, the interaction that takes place between you and your child....and even those wonderful teenage years...it's priceless and gone before you know it!  I am THAT person who gets to capture those silly and precious moments that you love so much. That's why I absolutely LOVE my job!

Thanks for stopping by!

Every year at this time I find myself organizing my thoughts into what I want to do for the new year and how I am going to make them happen...my goals. It's always mind boggling to me because there are so many things I want to accomplish both personally and professionally. I stared thismorning off by making a daily agenda for myself and listing my professional responsibilities that I need to accomplish each day. Since I run my studio and office out of my home, I am often multi-tasking all day long while my children are at school and by the time I have to pick them up, I feel like I have not accomplished ANYTHING!!! Goal #1: Office Hours: Sticking to them! So, as I try and organize my day, I have given myself set "office" hours that I must work each day, as if I am working for somebody else (my alter-ego??!!). I realize that this may not always work, however, I am dedicated to my clients and want to continue to provide the best customer service possible to them. Goal #2: Album Designs: Make new samples I love all of my albums that I show to prospective clients, however, I need to refresh them with a few of my amazing events that i have done this past year. I am really excited for this goal, because I LOVE to be creative, and as soon as I get started, I know I will be up late at night way beyond my office hours making killer designs! I have more goals to share with you(both personally and professionally) but I have to run off to a consultation. Check back later as I post more! Have a great Saturday!

Well, this is going to be the very last post of the year, and what better to end it with than a fabulous wedding from La Venta?! Tom and Mireille together with their families had such a special and intimate wedding. Combining their Korean and Jewish faiths, it was quite interesting and even more fun to watch the evening unfold and integrate the two together in their cultures. Here are some great images that I thought would be fun to share with you! Killer ring shot: 0g9k7613-edit.jpg Tom, so handsome! 0g9k7656-edit.jpg Mireille, so elegant! 0g9k7799-edit.jpg During the ceremony while they were saying their own vows, there was not a dry eye in the audience, and it was tough for Tom and Mireille to get through it... 0g9k8193-edit.jpg 0g9k8235-edit.jpg Yo can actually read Mireille's vows. 0g9k8251-edit.jpg 0g9k8298-edit.jpg 0g9k8487-edit.jpg 0g9k8476-edit.jpg 0g9k8515-edit.jpg I absolutely LOVE this shot...i think it has a very modern feel to it. 0g9k8446-edit.jpg 0g9k8379-edit.jpg 0g9k8353-edit.jpg The p'ye-baek. This is a Korean tradition where the bride offers dates and chestnuts -- symbols of children -- to the groom's parents, while sitting at a low table filled with other symbolic offerings. The parents offer sake in return, and as a final gesture they throw the dates and chestnuts at the bride, who tries to catch them in her large wedding skirt. In the United States, the p'ye-baek is most often held at the reception, with the bride and groom in full Korean costume. It is usually a family-only affair, hosted by the groom's side. The throwing of dates and chestnuts is the highlight. Family members also offer gifts of money in white envelopes to the bride. 0g9k8524-edit.jpg Tom's parents were having so much fun throwing MANY dates into Mireille's skirt! 0g9k8569-edit.jpg 0g9k8684-edit.jpg The first dance: 0g9k8843-edit.jpg It's always a lot of fun to watch the dancing! 0g9k8874-edit.jpg Everyone really seemed to enjoy the evening, and Tom and Mireille's love for each other was evident throughout the night! Thank you for being so gracious and I wish you both the best in life! Happy New Year!

Most of you may not yet know, but I had been chosen to be the PUG leader for Claremont a couple of months ago! It's such an honor to have this title and responsibilty and I hope that it can grow into a great group of photographers who are eager to learn, network and share ideas about the world of photography! We meet once a month at my home in Claremont, and it (so far) has been invaluable! This month, instead of having a typical meeting, Pictage decided to get together for a holiday party! Last night I headed out to LA to join the OC and LA PUGS for some holiday fun! It turned out be a great night! It's always fun to socialize with other photographers...our lives are all a little crazy! Our Claremont PUG party will be next Tuesday, December 18th at The Yardhouse in Rancho Cucamonga! Don't miss out on the fun...you even get to invite a guest! I stole this image (with permission!!!) from Jules Biachi's blog because I was a dork and forgot mine!!! Thanks, Jules for taking so many fun pictures! Lauren Hillary, me, and Jules Bianchi pug02.jpg

Wow...when I sat down to write this post, I am blown away by the amount of thankfulness I feel. I am thankful for the life I have...my family because they keep me grounded and real, my friends for their encouragement and continuous support, my health, my faith, and my clients...without my clients, I would not be living my dream profession...I love my job and the lives that I touch. I couldn't ask for anything better. A friend of mine sent me an email this morning about a daughter going away to school and saying goodbye to her mother at the airport..."I love you and wish you enough" When she said , 'I wish you enough', she wanted her mom to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain her. So today, I wish all of you enough. To never want too much. Enough to be content and happy with the blessings in your life! Life.Is.Good. Really.Good. Thank you to everyone that is a part of my life. This is a picture of my sister, Barbara, with my son Cole! dsc00620_blog.jpg

Even though Iris and Caesar are getting married in two weeks at Rancho Las Lomas, we still found time to squeeze in an engagement session with them.  I just have to say that I am so excited to work with the both of them!  As high school sweethearts, it was no surprise at how comfortable they were with each other, and they could literally just look at each other and start laughing! We had an absolute blast with each other, and I really think they shine in front of the camera! Check out the fun: 0g9k8728-edit.jpg 0g9k8748-edit.jpg 0g9k8866-edit.jpg 0g9k8919-edit.jpg It started to get a little sexy...Iris knows how to work it! 0g9k9101-edit.jpg 0g9k9166-edit.jpg 0g9k9231-edit.jpg 0g9k9277-edit.jpg 0g9k9348-edit.jpg Looking forward to your big day on December 1st!!!

Now that's a hot couple! Great shots, Julie. The first one is awesome; you captured a real genuine moment. I'm also inclined to interesting walls, so I like the mosaic shot too. Nice work!
