Even though this party was two weeks ago, I still wanted to get around to blogging it because it was THE vendor event of the year!
Jim and Amy Harrick are the masterminds behind Ceremony Magazine, and each year they host a huge party for vendors in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. This year it was held at the beautiful Rancho Las Lomas, and it was AMAZING! Not only did we get to sample great food, dance to a LIVE band (Wayne Foster Entertainment...the BEST!), sample delicious cocktails and wine, but we got to visit with LOTS of friends/vendors that we usually do not have time to socialize with while on the job.
Here are some pictures of some of my friends in the industry!
Kary Heimbach, wedding event planner...she's awesome!

No need for introduction...Mr. Joe Photo and myself
Karen French...a photographer that I have always admired and has given me lots of words of wisdom!

Jim Kennedy and his beautiful wife, Stephanie Brockman

I have been waiting over a year to shoot this wedding! Pater and Amber have been waiting much longer for this beautiful day to take place. Through being high school sweethearts, going through college, traveling the world and beginning their successful careers together, their dream of being married had finally come true.
It was so evident by the way their family and friends spoke so highly of them that they have something very deep and meaningful. I had such a great day with them and hope that they get a chance to peek at this blog entry while on their honeymoon in the British Virgin Islands!
These are just SOME of my favorites...and I have more to blog of Peter and his boys (STILL editing!)...

Yeah, I get super excited when you blog!! I have so many favorites but the one that stands out the most is of the bridesmaids all turned backwards holding their flowers, I have never seen that before, also the one where the BM is strapping the brides shoes and she has all that leg showing and last but not least the one where there getting ready to dance and he has his arms wrapped around his new bride.. P.S. I love love love that you put so many pictures up too!! Another fabulous wedding Julie
(10.10.07)Oh my goodness, Julie! These are Fabulous!!! I honestly almost started crying. Thank you so so so much for capturing our special day since it felt like it went by in a flash, literally. We are looking forward to seeing the rest! You were amazing and I would recommend you ten times over.
Thank you so much, Amber
(10.13.07)these photos are gorgeous, Julie! more more!
(10.13.07)I got to say, the bride is beautiful, the spread is gorgeous, the planning was impeccable, and Julie Weaver captured it perfectly. Thank you. It was an amazing day, and we are a blessed young couple. Thanks for putting us at ease in SaMo and in Pasadena. Take care.
(10.15.07)This wedding looked like fun! There are so many of these I like: the simplicity of the dress shot, LOVE the maids shoes and flowers shot, the dancing with family in background, and all the detail shots especially the cake/bouquet!
Glad to see you're back in the blog saddle.

Over the holiday weekend I had the pleasure to finally meet my clients Colleen and Derek.
They live out of state and were only here in Orange County for the weekend!
They might have the most romantic story I have ever heard from a client. First of all, they met in Italy while they were both studying abroad and fell in love in the most romantic place in the world....then, Derek rented out the ice rink at Rockefeller Center during the holidays last year to propose to her. That is the coolest thing I have ever heard! He wins major points in my book!
We had so much fun shooting their engagement session last weekend. I always love to watch my clients and see how they interact with each other. It helps me to better understand their relationship so I know what will work well (from a photographer's viewpoint) on their wedding day!
They were so easy to shoot...their smiles and laughter were contagious!
Here are some of my fav's:

You don't post often enough, Julie. :)
