Over the holiday weekend I had the pleasure to finally meet my clients Colleen and Derek.
They live out of state and were only here in Orange County for the weekend!
They might have the most romantic story I have ever heard from a client. First of all, they met in Italy while they were both studying abroad and fell in love in the most romantic place in the world....then, Derek rented out the ice rink at Rockefeller Center during the holidays last year to propose to her. That is the coolest thing I have ever heard! He wins major points in my book!
We had so much fun shooting their engagement session last weekend. I always love to watch my clients and see how they interact with each other. It helps me to better understand their relationship so I know what will work well (from a photographer's viewpoint) on their wedding day!
They were so easy to shoot...their smiles and laughter were contagious!
Here are some of my fav's:

You don't post often enough, Julie. :)

Yesterday I met with Lauren and Scott to do their engagement session. It was such a beautiful day/evening and we had so much fun...some of my favorites:

Awesome!! where were these taken, it looks so beautiful there I love love love the bridge
(08.29.07)These are amazing.... where was this at... it has a very old world charm to it.
(09.07.07)These were taken at private golf course in Rancho Santa Fe called "The Bridges". It is true it does have a very old world charm to it, and that is why we picked this place. It looks like Tuscany. Julie is an amazing photographer and was able to capture it's unique beauty!

As most of you are aware, Ceremony Magazine is Southern California's premier wedding publication that only chooses a small number of vendors to advertise in their magazine. This is the second year that I will be advertising with them, and have had record breaking years with bookings and I know that along with word of mouth referrals, Ceremony has been instrumental in my successes.
I was chosen this year to shoot their children's portion for their 2008 publication...what an honor for me!!! With great anticipation, and some really adorable models, I shot one of my most amazing shoots with children yesterday!
Kelli Martin from Tantrum Salon did all the hair and Kary Heimbach from kary h events helped to keep us organized and on track!!! Thanks to my awesome team and everyone else who was there to help this go so smoothly!
There are so many that I want to share, but you will have to wait to see which one's they choose for Ceremony's 2008 edition!
>The second set of images had this beautiful vintage 1967 Austin Healey car...my wonderful in-laws, Ron and Ellen, graciously let us use it for one of our props.
Thank you Ron and Ellen!!! These images are unbelievable!

Love-Love-Love this next location we went to...The Claremont Train Depot. Very vintage-inspired and the kids had an absolute blast here!

For those of you who have been following my blog, you might remember my fabulous clients, Erin and Ryan. They were the ones who flew me up to Napa to do their engagement pictures last month.
After over a year of planning by the uber-talented Kary Heimbach from kary h events, their amazing wedding at Red Hill Country Club finally arrived with great anticipation. To start the day off right, Erin had the very talented Cheryl Smith from Radiance Make Up Artists do her beautiful make up.
Mike Ivey from MI Media Productions did the elaborate lighting (it seriously ROCKED!) and the florals were designed by fabulous Nisie Vorachard from Enchanted Florist. The day could not have been so fantastic without these rockin vendors!!!!
Hello, Stuart!

Cheryl with her magic brush!!!

The girls were so excited for Erin and Ryan!

Can she be more beautiful???

Ryan...looking as handsome as ever (he has that effect on women!!! That's an inside joke for Ryan!!!)

Can you tell that this is his father?

The Boys:

Ryan and Erin decided to see each other befor the ceremony....smart move for those of you who have a later ceremony time.
It was very emotional for Erin as she walked to Ryan...I can't even imagine the rush of excitement she must have been feeling!

Now, for the details....

Hats off to everyone who collaboratively made this possible for Erin and Ryan, including all of their friends and family.
To Erin and Ryan: THANK YOU for welcoming me in like family! It was truly an honor to have documented your day.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
